"National Dress" festival

As the part of Tashkent Fashion week, “National dress” Festival will be held on November 28, 19.00 at the Youth Creativity Palace. The magnificence of garments, rich color, and unique hand embroidery doubtlessly will attract attention of the viewers. Only the brightest and richest garments in national style, designed in close connection with latest fashion trends, were selected for this festival.

 The “National dress” Festival has become a traditional annual event in our Republic, that gathers talented designers from across the country. Among all the events of Tashkent Fashion week, the Festival is considered the one, that stands out by the plenitude of the best eastern fabrics, beauty and originality of shapes, and more than that, it reflects the ancient culture and traditions of our ancestors. The collections successfully combine the rich heritage of hand weaving in the past and the present of our national art.

 The Festival is a specific demonstration of the variety of shapes, fabrics and designers’ approach in different regions of Uzbekistan. Particularly, Festival attracts foreign designers as a unique communication platform and a source of limitless inspiration. Many experts point that Festival becomes a symbol of a careful treatment of historical costume, which is a unique feature of Uzbek nation.

 The preparation for the “National dress” Festival has been conducted throughout the year, that is why this event сan be considered as the most significant result of “Osiyo Ramzi” Association’s productive work. During the preparation activities, the specific attention was paid to the issues, concerned with the preservation and renascence of national traditions of Uzbek costume and their role in the process of upbringing and forming the taste of young generation. The attention of the organizers was also accentuated on the innovative course that focuses on the production of textile fibers and fabrics with adjusted improved features. The Festival has been managed as an independent project since 2005.
