Tashkent Fashion Week
The most spectacular event of this autumn, Fashion Week will be held in the capital from November 24 to 29. For five days, the program incluse workshops, seminars-training sessions, fashion shows, competitions and the final Gala-fashion show. Locations for activities are different: some of them will be held at the Center of Youth Creativity, and the others at the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. The main organizer of the Tashkent Fashion week is the Association of Designers of the Republic of Uzbekistan «Osiyo Ramzi».
The Week will gather together everyone - talented, successful, brilliant and original designers, artists and professionals. The main aesthetic line of the Tashkent fashion week will be a reflection of the beauty and traditions of the East in modern reality. For the first time, the Week program includes designer's shows from Uzbek designers.
The Program of Professional Fashion week includes the following events:
- Hair, make-up and nail-art competition;
- "Young designers" Defile;
- Fashion shows from Uzbek and Italian designers;
- "National Dress" Festival;
- Gala-fashion show;
- Workshops and seminar-trainigs from the leading designers from Italy, Korea, Russia and Uzbekistan.
Professional Fashion Week is an event in the fashion industry, the purpose is to promote the Uzbek fashion, bring the opportunity for the designers and "fashion houses" to showcase their collections and give viewers the opportunity to evaluate trends in the fashion world, the development of youg designer's creative potential, revealing new names, opening broad prospects for young designers, shaping the professional environment, establishing the zone for International Cooperation in the global fashion industry.
One of the priority goals will be to keep the mentality of our people and its' role in taste formation of young people. Fashion Week establishes and expands the creative communication, establishes contacts between the scientific and industrial potential of the global business community in the field of fashion.
Preparations for Fashion Week were held throughout the year in several stages:
- Concept development for Professional Fashion Week;
- Dissemination of information on the selection process at the regional level in the various categories of the show;
- Selectiona and evalation stages for participants and announcing the winners of selection stage;
- The final stage was held to determine the best works of the presented at the selection stages.
For several years, the Association of the designers of Uzbekistan «Osiyo Ramzi», conducts a fruitful work to promote the "Uzbek fashion" brand in world fashion industry. Today, under the aegis of the Association, functioning design schools and creative studios are created in Uzbekistan, they are working in different directions and have many admirers. During the year, long preparation was carried out for this fashion week, which was a major aspect of their collaborative work with designers from Italy, France and Great Britain. There was a number of visits of delegations of Uzbekistan experts in Milan, during which a number of Italian brands manufactories was visited, numerous showrooms as well, in order to study the mechanisms of work of Italian Fashion system. Also, designers from Italy, france, Korea have visited Uzbekistan with master classes and a seminar-training. After careful examination of the trends from latest fashion weeks and joint meetings with foreign designers, the purpose of the Uzbek designers at the upcoming fashion week in Tashkent, was to adapе and find a harmonious combination of traditional Uzbek costume and its' parts with the trends of modern fashion in the context of compliance with the requirements of the world market, and successful entry into it in the future.
Along with the "National Dress"Festival and youth shows, that are very popular already, one of the features of the Professional Fashion Week are designre's shows of the most famous and successful Uzbek designers. Designers will demonstrate collections, inspired by latest trends of world fashion, which can be distinguished by their strong personality, keen sense of style and a special aesthetic understanding of the national colors, the traditional art and culture.
The Week will start with the contest of stylists, make-up and nail-art artists, this one of the brightest events in the beauty industry, which brings together well-known experts from different regions of Uzbekistan - cosmetologists, nail designers, hairdressers, make-up artists, leaders of various projects in salon business.
The Honorary President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Mr. MARIO BOSELLI will become a special guest of Fashion Week. It is expected, that the program of the Week will include fashion shows of Italian designers with the latest collections from Milano Moda Donna in 2015 (the Milan women's fashion week), their attedance to the Fashion week is the result of joint developing of the cconcept of the Tashkent fashion week.
"Young designers" Defile is also a unique opportunity for the participants of this contest, to declare themselves, demonstrate their innovative workto to the specialists. The show mainly involves students, students of professional colleges and academic lyceums and "freelancers". Some of the collecctions that will e presented on tha catwalk, were developend in collaboration. Collections clearly show the creative imagination, the pursuit of non-standard approaches and diverse interest of young designers. It is very important to note, the within the framework of this show, the organizers have provided complete creative freedom to the participating designers, requirements for collections were not specified and no limitations were set. Most of the presented collection are quite diverse and original. While some designers prefer to search for completely new materials, forms and methods, others may create modern clothes, inspired by the national historical costumes. Each collection reflects a bright and interesting individuality of young creators.
"Young Designers" defile is expected to be original and exciting spectacle, as well as serve as a powerful incentive for students and young designers to be creative, find new ideas and lay the foundations of new trends in the fashion world.
"National Dress" Festival has become a traditional annual event in the Republic, gathering talented designers from all over the country. The festival is a kind of demonstration of the diversity of shapes, fabrics and design approaches in different regions of Uzbekistan. Festiva attracts foreign designers as a unique information platform of fashion and a source of inexhaustible inspiration. According to experts, the festival becomes a symbol of careful treatment towards the historical costume that is a unique feature of the Uzbek people.
Gala-fashion show - is the closing, general fashion show of Uzbek and Italian designers, reflecting the richness of the diversity of traditions and designers research in modern design and fashion in Uzbekistan. This fashion show attracts attention of all those interested in the latest trends of contemporary fashion in Uzbekistan.
As part of Fashion Week, master classes and seminar-trainings will be organized for professional designers, university students and students of academic lyceums and professional colleges, These activities will be delivered by famous designers from Italy and Russia , as well as by leading specialists of Uzbekistan in the area of modeling and design of national and modern clothing, branding, style selection, hair and makeup art.
Professional Fashion Week promises to become a real festival of modern and traditional costumes, remembered by participants and spectators for a long time. However, this Fashion Week is also an opportunity to create modern models using national traditions of design and fashion, as well as countless meetings, opinion exchange among designers and opening of new opportunities for the further development of this area.
